How has social discourse changed as we’ve moved a majority of our group dynamics to the land of online videoconferencing platforms? Are the rules of engagement different from the ones we use in person? As we move quickly into these specific spaces, many of the spoken, and unspoken, guidelines that govern dynamics of groups have been loosened, and many of the inequities which permeate group interactions, including structural, cultural, and social inequity, may actually be magnified. In this podcast, Cheri and Paul share their experiences navigating both "in the flesh" and digitally mediated group meetings. Together they propose a set of guidelines to help promote inclusive interactions online. These guidelines are a work in progress, so please be kind but also be honest.
